Graduate Courses Taught by Gary L. Ackerman

2009

After a hiatus of more than a year to complete my dissertation research, I anticipate offering graduate courses in education again in the summer of 2009.  Currently, my plans are to offer:

The web site (online learning environment) for these courses is here.

> Classroom 2.0: Digital Learning in the 21st Century (draft syllabus is here)
This course is intended to introduce educators to the teaching and learning opportunities made possible by digital technologies as well as the changing expectations of educators in the 21st century.

> Online Learning in Grades 5-12 (draft syllabus is here)
In this course educators will learn the theory and practice of establishing meaningful online learning environments for elementary through high school classrooms.  Participants will design OLE's to be used with students.

Information about previous course offerings is here.
