Science is supposed to be about finding "the truth;" we seek to describe the world as it actually is. Taking steps to ignore parts of the problem (like ignoring friction in mechanics problems) is done to make problems easier to solve on exams, but is to be avoided in real science. Defend the position that science can continue in light of the Born-Pauli interpretation of Schrodinger's equations.
