Crease suggests the story of thermodynamics is worthy of Shakespeare as many individuals were involved and there was much conflict between those individuals. The implications of the content is also worthy of drama: What started out as investigations into phenonema necessary for industry and technology led to discoveries that laid the foundations of modern physics.

Write an essay defending the position that one of these areas of inquiry was more important than the other.
