Welcome to Gary Ackerman’s eportfolio that was begun when he enrolled in the E-Learning and Online Teaching program at University of Wisconsin- Stout. This program leads to a graduate certificate and Gary was motivated to enroll to earn the graduate credits necessary to maintain his teaching licenses.
Gary has been working in education for almost 30 years, including more than 10 years as a science and math teacher. Over his career, Gary has managed all aspects of educational technology and worked with teachers in all subject areas to design technology-rich curriculum.
In addition to taking these courses, Gary is currently working as the 80% digital project leader at Rivendell Academy, a public 7-12 school located in Orford, New Hampshire and as the part-time educational technology specialist with the advanced manufacturing at MWCC faculty at Mount Wachusett Community College in Devens, Massachusetts. Gary is also researching and drafting his second book about technology-rich schools.
